A multi-award-winning jewelry manufacturer, Argawal is a four-time international design award recipient. She actively advocates for small businesses and ethical employment, contributing to organizations like the Better Way Alliance and OWIT-Toronto.
Cheyenne Lakatos
Bachelor of Humanities (Environmental Studies), 2014
Cheyenne Lakatos, a Locomotive Engineer at the Canadian National Railway Company CN, is recognized for her outstanding contributions to skilled trades, product and service innovation, and community involvement. A dedicated advocate for mental health and wellness, Lakatos initiated the Common Connections Program in Jasper, Alberta, which received the CN People’s Choice Award in 2022.
Atty (Atefeh) Mashatan

Atty Mashatan, Canada Research Chair and Associate Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), is recognized as an executive leader who exemplifies what it means to be a great leader through championing others. Her expertise in cybersecurity led to her recognition as one of the Top 20 Women in Cybersecurity in Canada. She directs TMU’s Cybersecurity Research Lab and is known for her significant contributions to advancing cybersecurity research and training qualified personnel in the field. In 2019, SC Magazine named her one of the top five Women of Influence in Security.

Tanya Rumble is recognized for her outstanding contributions to the community through her role as the Executive Director of Development in the Faculty of Arts at Toronto Metropolitan University. In addition to her academic position, she is co-founder of Recast Philanthropy, and has held leadership positions in organizations such as FindHelp Information Services and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Canada.
