What’s Open and Closed: Holiday Break
Carleton University will be closed for the holiday season from Tuesday, Dec. 24, through Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, inclusive. The university will reopen on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025.
During the holiday closure period, campus buildings will be locked. Authorized students, faculty and staff may gain access using their Campus Card at card readers in buildings equipped with that technology. Faculty and staff are encouraged to arrange for any required access prior to the holiday closure by contacting your Department Chair and/or Department Administrator.
Campus Safety Services (CSS) will provide access to buildings on an emergency basis only. The CSS Communication Centre can be reached at 613-520-4444 in emergencies and 613-520-3612 for general enquiries.
Dining Services
On Saturday, Dec. 21, the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. It will be open on Sunday, Dec. 22 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. All Dining Services locations will be closed from Monday, Dec. 23 to Thursday, Jan. 2, inclusive.
On Friday, Jan. 3, Tim Hortons in Nideyinàn will be the only location open, serving campus from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Starting on Monday, Jan. 6, all locations will be open with their standard hours of operation.

MacOdrum Library
The library will be open on Monday, Dec. 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 24 to Thursday, Jan. 2, inclusive. It reopens on Friday, Jan. 3, at 7:30 a.m.
Chat service will remain closed until Sunday, Jan. 5.

Athletics
Fitness Centre
On Tuesday, Dec. 24, the Fitness Centre will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Thursday, Dec. 26. The Fitness Centre will be open from Friday, Dec. 27 to Monday, Dec. 30, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
On Tuesday, Dec. 31, the Fitness Centre will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1. The Fitness Centre resumes normal operations on Thursday, Jan. 2.
Ice House
On Tuesday, Dec. 24, the Ice House will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25. It will reopen on Thursday, Dec. 26, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
On Tuesday, Dec. 31, the Ice House will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. it will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Pool
The pool will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 24 to Thursday, Dec. 26, as well as on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
