Carleton Launches Third Phase of CU75 Campaign
Carleton University will soon begin celebrating CU75, its 75th anniversary celebration in January 2017.
So we have added to the impressive collection of stories about students, faculty, graduates, donors and founders that we’ve been sharing in the lead up to a very special year in Carleton’s history that will be packed with events of all kinds.
People featured in this third phase of the campaign include Mitel Networks CFO Steve Spooner, Indigenous leader Gilbert W. Whiteduck, art historian Linda Grussani, Google engineer Ross Koningstein, music historian Elaine Keillor, statistician Ivan Fellegi, PhD candidate Bruce Wallace and athlete Stacey Siopis. In celebration of our 75th year, a new anniversary banner has been installed adjacent to the quad.
CU75 shines a light on outstanding community members
The campaign began in 2014 to shine a light on the accomplishments of outstanding members of the Carleton community. This new group will appear on our giant billboards and street banners on campus, in advertisements and other promotional material, videos and social media. All of our CU75 champions been profiled on our website, CU75.ca.
Help us celebrate our incredible people by visiting their biographical pages, sharing their stories on social media and taking our CU75 history quiz.
There’s more to come next year!
Stay in touch with the campaign on social media using the hashtag #CU75.
And check out some of the events in store during 2017 by going to CU75.ca/events. From the official launch on Jan. 18, 2017 to the Founding Day Celebration in June and a Community Academic Expo in October, there are lectures, social get-togethers, conferences and research events.
