Healthy Cities Discussion Considers Our Built Environment
What is the contribution of the built environment to a healthy city and conversely, to the rise of an unhealthy city? That was the topic discussed during a Healthy Cities event hosted by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) on Feb. 23.
Moderated by Film Studies Prof. Malini Guha, the panelists — with backgrounds in Indigenous public education, architectural history and theory, architecture, and sustainable heritage conservation — collectively addressed the question of what exactly a healthy city looks, sounds and feels like.
