Reminder: Canada-Italy Workshop on Arctic S&T Collaboration

The Canadian Polar Commission and the Embassy of Italy in Canada are pleased to organize a joint workshop involving key Canadian and Italian Arctic knowledge experts. This event will be a catalyst for concrete innovation development at the international level and will further enhance bilateral cooperation between Italian and Canadian research organizations and communities, in the context of the recent launch of the European Union Research and Innovation Programme (EU Horizon 2020).
This one-day workshop will focus on the following key knowledge areas:
Marine and coastal environments;
Earth observation and sensing technologies;
Atmosphere; and,
Technology development and transfer (for the benefit of Northerners).
The plenary sessions of the workshop will include presentations on each of these topics by Canadian and Italian researchers, and are open to all who wish to attend, free of charge. Please note that the working language of the workshop will be English. Please see the draft programme for further information.
