OCSNRS refers to the annual Ottawa-Carleton Student Northern Research Symposium.

Each year, undergraduate and graduate students from Carleton University and the University of Ottawa participate in high-quality northern research studies, both in natural and social sciences. As a platform to showcase our excellence and common interests in northern research, Carleton University and the University of Ottawa are pleased to host the Ottawa-Carleton Student Northern Research Symposium (OCSNRS).

The OCSNRS is an annual one-day conference that brings together students from the University of Ottawa and Carleton University who are involved in northern research. It provides an opportunity for students to present their research, network, and to broaden their knowledge of the north. Students from any discipline are welcome, given that their research takes place to the north of the southern limit of discontinuous permafrost (http://arcg.is/1vGHyr). Presentations may range from project proposals to completed research projects and may be in the form of a talk or a poster.

The 2020 OCSNRS will be hosted by the University of Ottawa

When: Friday March 20  2020, 09:00-16:40

Where: CRX C220/C230, Learning Crossroads (CRX), 100 Louis-Pasteur Private, University of Ottawa

Abstracts Due: Feb 3, 2020 at 11:59 pm
