Dear Colleagues,

The 2015 Ottawa-Carleton Student Northern Research Symposium (OCSNRS) is taking place at Carleton University in Dunton Tower 2017 on Friday, February 6th. Registration is set to begin at 8:15 AM, and we will be closing the Symposium at 5:00 PM. The program for the 2014 OCSNRS has now been finalized, and is attached here (including a map of campus with the Symposium location marked, a schedule for the day, and a list of presentation abstracts). This information can also be found on our webpage:

http://www.carleton.ca/northernresearch/ocsnrs/2015-ocsnrs/

Priority will be given to presenters, but we will have extra seating for anyone interested in northern research to attend. Space is limited, however, so if you wish to attend, an RSVP to Keegan Smith (keegan.smith@carleton.ca) to confirm your attendance is required by Monday, March 2nd, 2015.

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Jeff Saarela, Research Scientist with the Canadian Museum of Nature and Director of their Centre for Arctic Knowledge and Exploration. His talk is entitled: “Biodiversity of the Canadian Arctic Vascular Plant Flora”.

We have a large number of presenters this year, across many disciplines. We invite you to learn more about presenters’ research exploits during our scheduled breaks, at which time coffee and light refreshments will be served. We will also have a mid-day break, during which we will provide attendees with lunch.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday!

Sincerely,

OCSNRS 2015 Organizing Committee
