Dear students interested in NSTP,

I am pleased to announce that on October 30th there will be a session in Loeb A237 from 1:30 to 2:30 for students (mostly, but faculty welcome) on the Northern Scientific Training Program (NSTP).

The session will be led by the NSTP national secretariat (Nathalie Robillard-Bergeron and Rhonda Turner) and is designed to answer questions on how to complete the forms for reporting and applying for funding.

I strongly recommend that students who intend to apply or who received funding from NSTP attend this session.  This is especially important for students who have never applied before.   Note that this year the deadline has shifted to November 8 and that students and faculty will not have the opportunity to revise their forms past this deadline as was previously the case.  This means that completing the forms properly to begin with is of paramount importance.

The session will begin with a presentation from Nathalie and Rhonda.  You will then have time to work on your forms and ask questions. Before you come to this workshop, please review the forms in the NSTP online system (https://nstp-pfsn.fluidreview.com) and gather the information you need to complete them. That way you can work to complete the forms and finesse your writing during this session.

I hope to see you on the 30th!

Derek
