Karen Hébert is an assistant professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies. Her research examines changing natural resource economies and environmental politics in the subarctic North. She has conducted long-term ethnographic fieldwork in coastal Alaska, most in the Bristol Bay region of southwestern Alaska.
