Patricia Sutherland is Adjunct Research Professor in the Geography and Environmental Studies department. Her archaeological and historical studies have spanned Arctic Canada and Greenland. Her current research is focused on evidence of a mediaeval European presence in the eastern Arctic, and relations between Indigenous peoples of the region and early Europeans in the centuries around 1000 AD.
