Carleton University is a leader in permafrost research in Canada and the university currently hosts a number of faculty and research groups involved in differing aspect of permafrost research. The Multidisciplinary Research Catalyst Fund (MRCF) Permafrost Thaw – Climate, People, Infrastructure and Policy seeks to better connect the groups and individuals involved and to develop strategy for future initiatives.
