Are you an early career researcher with the potential to become an established investigator? The School of Rehabilitation Therapy at Queen’s invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position within the group of Dr. Auais.

Description of Area or Topic of Research: We are looking for a post-doctoral fellow in the area of mobility, aging and health to work in the group of Dr. Mohammad Auais. The position is for one year and can be renewed upon satisfactory performance evaluation. The successful candidate will help coordinate ongoing research projects in the group, including a randomized clinical trial, and lead a process evaluation of a new health intervention within the trial. They will have the opportunity to mentor graduate students and research assistants and develop their research stream. This position can involve recruiting study participants and analysing data as needed. We expect the fellow to apply for external funding  opportunities and publish their work in respected peer- reviewed journals.

Remuneration: Starts at $45,000 per annum plus paid benefits. The candidate is entitled to several University administer benefit plans, including Canada Pension Plan, Employment Insurance Compensation, Long-term disability Plan, Annual Salary Increase, and Supplementary Medical & Dental plan, among others. Start Date and Duration of Appointment: Jan 15ᵗʰ or later (could be negotiated)

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in a relevant field (rehabilitation, epidemiology, gerontology, kinesiology, etc.)
• Excellent quantitative, qualitative or mixed methods analysis expertise
• Experience in research project coordination and a record of publication in impactful
journals
• Flexible and cooperative spirit with a strong commitment to team effort
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Eligibility for registration as a physical therapist in Ontario and/or experience in
evaluating complex interventions are assets
