This year, The McCall MacBain PDF program will be opening our virtual doors through open ONLINE offerings for all PDF’s throughout the program term (September – May). PDF’s can experience innovative programming firsthand as they engage and network with experienced faculty, industry leaders and other PDF’s.

The next McCall MacBain open online offering for postdoctoral fellows will discuss the importance of powerful presentations. Join Joe Kim and Paulina Rzeczkowska as they discuss the importance of presentation design utilizing evidence based cognitive principles of learning. Applying findings developed in controlled-lab and classroom-based studies can lead to improved slide design which translates into durable learning that extends from short-term tests to beyond the final exam. This two part series will initially expand your knowledge on lecture organization and design on October 25th Part two of this series will explore the underlying multimedia learning principles that guide good slide design. We will practice as we learn about redundancy, segmentation, signaling, and coherence. Together, these workshops will provide a practical plan for delivering lectures with a cohesive message.
