As a reminder to all RPC Heads and those involved in developing your Budget Submission for 2023-24, please give thoughtful consideration to the Procurement Plan information request included in the budget planning pack (see page 6 of the 2023-24 Planning and Budget Guidelines; last tab of the 2023-24 Budget Request Template). This information is used by Procurement Services to forecast resourcing requirements and timelines, as well as to identify opportunities to utilize collaborative procurement sources. It also prepares us for future reporting requirements that the Province of Ontario may request.
The information request asks you to identify any known “major” procurement activities planned in the next three years, focusing on the 2023-24 budget year. A “major” procurement is considered any purchase of a good or service estimated to be $100,000 or more over the life of the initial contract, plus any potential renewal options. This list does not need to include purchases or engagements already covered under an existing contract.
