Carleton University is committed to creating a campus that is accessible and inclusive. This means reducing the barriers for participation as much as possible.  During the scope development of the Open Competitive Procurement (RFx) process, our team will provide a Scope of Work Worksheet which will help us understand your needs.  Within this document, we will ask the following questions:

  • Can you think of aspects, attributes or characteristics of your procurement that might limit usability for persons with visible or invisible disabilities (Example: Low vision, hearing loss, one handed operation)?
  • Can you think of some ways that the solution could be made usable by the greatest variety of people possible (Example: Height adjustable, integrates with assistive technology, support materials available in accessible formats)?

Procurement Services will work with you to identify evaluation criteria to support making informed judgement around accessibility requirements depending on the nature of the good or service being acquired through consultation with our Accessible Procurement Advisory Group.
