Service Cost
The Distance Exam Service charges an administration fee for each assessment arranged through the service. The fee is $107.25 for students writing in Canada and $192.00 for students writing internationally. This fee will be added to your student account at the end of the term.
Students writing in person at a testing centre may also be required to pay a separate proctoring fee directly to the testing centre. This fee is not included in the Distance Exam Service administration fee.
Students writing internationally who complete their exam online using our e-Proctoring solution; CoMaS, will be charged the domestic administration fee of $107.25 per assessment.

Please note that the above fee applies to both Distance/off-campus exams and Deferred Final off-campus exams. All fees are effective from May 1, 2026.
Important
For an in-person distance exam, you may have to pay two separate fees:
- The Distance Exam Service fee, charged to your student account.
- The testing centre’s proctoring fee, paid directly to the testing centre before the exam date.
The testing centre’s fee does not replace or include the Distance Exam Service fee. Fees are charged per assessment. For example, if the Distance Exam Service arranges both a midterm and a final exam, the service fee will be charged twice.

Two in-person exams in Canada
Distance Exam Service fee: $107.25 × 2 = $214.50
Testing-centre fees: charged separately by the testing centre
Late application fee
Late applications may be considered but can result in the application being declined. If approved, a $26 late application fee applies. Applications received less than TWO WEEKS prior to the scheduled exam will not be processed.

Late cancelation fees
Students who wish to cancel their distance exam application must Email us to to request the cancellation.
If the cancellation is received more than 7 days before the exam date, no fee will be charged. Cancellations received within 7 days of the exam date will be charged a $26 fee. Cancellations made on the day of the exam, or after the exam date, will be charged the full distance exam fee.
Please note that if you no longer plan to write your exam through Distance Exam Service, no longer need the service, or have dropped the course, you must Email us to cancel your application. If we do not receive a cancellation request, the full distance exam service fee will be charged to your student account.
