Western University recently underwent a case of Twitter hacking when someone using the Student Recreation Centre weight room hacked into the centre’s Twitter account and tweeted out a racist comment. Staff was made aware of this, the tweet was deleted and apologies were issues and sanctions levied against the offender.

So was this a good job at handling what could have been a significant social media blunder? I liked the quick action and the reinforcement that the tweet in question is wholeheartedly against the values of the university.

What do you think?
