We’re pleased to announce that Carleton University is now on Snapchat! We’re so excited to start using this innovative social messaging app, which counts more than 150 million daily users and fuels 10 billion daily video views.
Of course, the main selling point of Snapchat is in its ephemeral nature. Pictures and videos are available for a limited, predetermined amount of time and then disappear. We think the platform lends itself to “in the moment” photo and video opportunities, and will help us connect with students, alumni and the wider community in a fun and unique way.
There are lots of ways that you can follow us on Snapchat. Here are three:
- Scan our Snapcode, included in the image below, with the Snapchat app on your phone
- Add us by our username: carleton_u
- Click this link. Your browser will ask to open Snapchat. Once you accept, you’ll have the option of adding us. This method will only work on your phone.
We’ll be using it to cover on-campus events, spread the word about important news and give the world a window into Carleton’s culture.
