Project members Dr. Gabie, Mr. Mapanka, Mr. Gewers, and Mr. Veldskoen conducted field research in the Richtersveld region from 21–28 April 2024. Our researchers met with Nama (Khoe) community members and musicians in Port Nolloth, Kuboes, Sanddrift, Lekkersing, Eksteensfontein, Bioolsdrift, Rooiwal, Steinkopf, Okiep, Matjieskloof, Pella, Onseepkans, and Pofadder.
