We are pleased to share a final paper of the late SPPA Professor Christopher Stoney “Policy-making, policy-taking, and policy-shaping: Local government responses to the COVID-19 pandemic” published posthumously in the Australian Journal of Public Administration, March 30, 2023 https://doi.org/10.1111/1467-8500.12585 . It is a timely paper that speaks to local government responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and its likely effects on the responsibilities and capabilities of local governments around the world.
The paper is co-authored by Andy Asquith, John Martin, Jeff McNeill, Alessandro Spano and one of Chris’ students, Karyn Kipper, who was asked to step into Chris’ role and complete his parts of the paper on his behalf.
