“Through our practicum programs, we are helping to develop creative people with skillsets (and mindsets) that make them employable in so many fields.”
Mitchell B. Frank, Associate Professor of Art History and Director of the School for Studies in Art and Culture
One of the most attractive aspects of the School is our well-established practicum program. Participating students are placed in cultural institutions around Ottawa, where they earn a course credit and gain valuable experience in their field under the direction of many of Canada’s leading experts. These placements provide valuable work experience. Upon completion of their projects, a number of students have been hired on for summer contracts and term placements, or obtained permanent employment.
