Practicum Programs

“Through our practicum programs, we are helping to develop creative people with skillsets (and mindsets) that make them employable in so many fields.”

Mitchell B. Frank, Director of the School for Studies in Art and Culture

Our well-established practicum programs in Art and Architectural History, Music and Film Studies are one of the most attractive aspects of the School for Studies in Art and Culture. Participating students are placed in one of the many cultural institutions in Ottawa and the National Capital Region, where they earn a course credit and gain valuable experience in their field under the direction of many of Canada’s leading experts. These placements offer our students valuable work experience and have provided many of them with summer contracts, term placements, and even permanent employment.
