To all members of the Carleton community,

World events can often impact our university community and many of our members have been affected by recent developments in diplomatic relations between Canada and India.

The International Student Services Office (ISSO) has reached out directly to Carleton students who are residents from India and have offered all available services and resources that they may need at this time.

Any student who is affected by the issue is welcome to connect with the resources available through the university’s Mental Health and Wellness hub, including booking an appointment with Health and Counselling Services.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to access the Employee & Family Assistance Program for support.

We recognize this is a complex and ongoing situation. By collectively offering our care and understanding to those in distress, we can create a campus-wide support system to help everyone navigate this difficult moment.

Carleton will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates as necessary.

Sincerely,

Betina Appel Kuzmarov
Associate Vice-President (International)
