The Volkswagen Foundation invites applications for funding line 2 of its mixed methods in the humanities scheme. This supports small-scale workshops and summer schools in the humanities and cultural studies that combine and synergise qualitative-hermeneutical and digital approaches, and explore their combination on the example of a shared research question. Workshops and summer schools may have up to 60 participants.

Eligibility

Researchers in the historical-hermeneutical humanities may apply. Only academic institutions are eligible under this call. Research institutions in and outside of Germany may apply. Research institutions outside of Germany must include specific details of a substantial cooperation with academics in Germany.

Funding Available

Funding may cover travel and accommodation expenses, as well as reasonable costs of personnel required for the preparation and implementation of workshops.
