Congratulations are in order for 3ci’s former Academic Director, Dr. Frances Abele, who was selected by the students of the School of Public Policy and Administration (SPPA) to receive this year’s Teaching Excellence Award at their Annual Gala.
The award is a chance for the students to thank and celebrate the work of a faculty member that they feel stood out. Students noted how much Dr. Abele had made a difference to them this year. By being there for them, listening to their concerns, and offering support in a most difficult time, she exemplified the kind of compassionate approach Carleton had hoped faculty members would embrace in these difficult times.
