Carleton Art and Architectural History Professors Mitchell Frank, Gül Kale and Michael Windover are participating in the upcoming Universities Art Association of Canada Conference, the largest annual conference in Canada for visual arts-based research by art and architectural historians, professors, artists, curators, and cultural workers. The event takes place at the University of Toronto, October 27-29. Professor Frank will deliver a paper “The Metropolitan Miniatures and Popular Art Education in Postwar America.” Professor Windover is co-presenting a paper “Everyday Experts in the Kitchen: Reflections on ‘Designing Domestic Dining’” with Dorothy Stern (Algonquin College). Professor Kale is chairing a session “Challenges of teaching/studying/curating Islamic art and architecture in Canada.”
