Research Interests: At the present stage, my MRP research is devoted to analyzing the artworks of Mennonite artist Emily Neufeld, who currently resides in B.C. At the moment, I am focusing on how her works intersect with important themes of identity, community, cultural memory, migration to Canada, and settler colonialism in a Canadian context. This topic reflects my family’s history, as I share a similar Mennonite heritage to Neufeld, as well as larger issues predominant within Canadian communities. I am very excited to continue this work under the supervision of Sandra Dyck and Dr. Brian Foss!
