Cassidy Hatton

Cassidy is a PhD Student in the Department of Psychology and Research Coordinator of the Aggressive Cognitions and Behaviour Research (ACBR) Laboratory at Carleton University. She received her BA Honours in Psychology from Carleton University under the supervision of Dr. Kevin Nunes. Her PhD dissertation examines trust, violent attitudes, and authoritarian beliefs in relation to violent behaviour.
Research Interests: The main focus of her research examines factors that may contribute to increased risk of interpersonal and collective violence. Primarily, she studies trust (i.e., social/generalized, institutional), violent attitudes, and hierarchy orientations (e.g., authoritarian beliefs, social dominance) in relation to violence and aggression.
