The Accessibility Institute recently collaborated with the Inclusive Workplace and Supply Council of Canada (IWSCC), in a knowledge sharing discussion about the value of an inclusive mindset.
During the session, Tara Connolly and Julie Caldwell of Carleton’s Accessibility Institute, as well as Deidre Guy, president and co-founder of IWSCC, sat down to discuss accessibility research, the key to inclusive mindsets, and the power of building communities. The conversation also emphasized the efforts of the Canadian Accessibility Network (CAN), led by the Accessibility Institute, to build a network and community of accessibility champions across Canada.
The Inclusive Workplace and Supply Council of Canada (IWSCC) is a Canadian non-profit organization that supports Veterans and/or persons with disabilities who own businesses. They provide certifications that allow these businesses to be officially recognized as Diverse Suppliers, as well as collaborate with corporate partners to improve workplace and procurement process inclusion.
