Women’s Indigenous Knowledge in Mitigating Conflict in Migration-Affected Borderlands: A Case of Uganda- South Sudan Borderland
Resty Nabaggala is a pracademic with expertise in gender, inclusion, youth, migration and development, with emerging research interests in peace within the thematic areas of migration and gender. Her work is guided and driven by feminist, intersectional and decolonial approaches, bringing together critical analysis, participatory methods and people’s lived experiences to advance social justice, inclusion and equality.
Resty holds a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the University of Nairobi, and she was a 2026 GRO-GEST research fellow at the University of Iceland. She is also the coordinator for the Africa Indigenous Knowledge Research Network (AIKRN) Youth Forum. Her work spans advisory, programming, monitoring and evaluation, strategic guidance, advocacy and research across Africa and Europe.
