The free tax clinic coordinated by fourth-year B.PAPM student Basmah Osman, which provides help to low and middle income earners in filing their tax returns, is profiled by reporter Vito Pilieci in today’s Ottawa Citizen. Basmah is a volunteer with the Ottawa Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) which provides free assistance on preparing tax returns for people earning less than $30,000 per year. Those earning more than that amount are charged a modest fee for the service.
