Derek “TBD” Reid (BSc COOP student, he/him) is a BSc candidate working with Marshall in developing aminosilane-based small molecule inhibitors (SMIs) for Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD). He is further working with Eden on computational surface modelling of SMIs, and with Peter to program a software interface for ALD tools.
He is interested in transition metal and heavy element chemistry and computational modeling. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, science fantasy worldbuilding, and level design.
