Peter “Jorge” Gordon (he/him)

I am the Facility Administrator of the CU Nanofab. I run fee-for-service experiments and coordinate research with academic and industry partners. A key part of my role is ensuring that the Nanofab remains not only functional but regularly upgraded, giving our users a growing set of tools for fabrication and characterization.

I am also the ALD tool manager for the Barry Lab.

The NanoFab is a joint effort between the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering and Design, focused on designing and fabricating a wide range of organic and inorganic surfaces with specific materials, nanostructures, and other tailored characteristics. Our laboratory works closely with both industrial and academic partners. Our tools and services include:

  • Thermal Characterization (TGA and DSC)
  • Film characterization (EDX and AFM)
  • Thin Film Deposition
  • Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD)
  • Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD)
  • Physical Vapor Deposition (COVAP)
  • Supported by in-situ QCM characterization
