Fourth-year B.PAPM student Brittany Dale has been hired as a research assistant to the Citizen’s Academy of Ottawa, an initiative intended to facilitate civic engagement and dialogue between the public and municipal officials.  She will be part of a team that includes Maureen Molot, professor emerita and former director of the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, and Caroline Andrew, director of the Centre on Governance at the University of Ottawa.  Brittany served as media and communications coordinator for the International Program for Development Education Training over the summer of 2011, and media relations intern with the Canadian embassy in Washington, D.C. in the spring of that year.  The 10-hour-per-week research assistant position with the Citizen’s Academy has been made possibly by a grant from the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Public Affairs.
