Colton Brydges currently works for Global Affairs Canada as an evaluator in the International Assistance Evaluation division. In this role, he is part of team that looks at Canada’s international assistance programs in countries around the world to highlight results, and identify lessons and areas for improvement. Having been with GAC since 2018, Colton has participated in evaluations of Canada’s programming in Ethiopia, the Philippines, Colombia and several other thematic areas.

After graduating from the BPAPM program in 2014, Colton spent 18 months teaching English in Hiroshima, Japan before returning to Ottawa. He completed a Master’s in Globalization and International Development at uOttawa, where his thesis research focused on community-based rehabilitation and development programs for people with disabilities in Gulu, Uganda.

Colton has published three academic journal articles, two of which were excerpts from his honours research essay from the BPAPM program, which focused on inclusive education in Lagos, Nigeria.
