The Plug –In Hybrid and Electrical Vehicles conference, 28-30 September 2009  in Montreal (PHEV’09) brought together past graduates of Carleton’s Environmental Engineering programs, from left to right, Tabitha Takeda (B.Eng. ’00, now with Transport Canada), Prof. Deniz Karman, Martha Christenson(M.A.Sc.’07, now with Environment Canada), Rieko Shinomiya (B.Eng. ’07, currently an M.A.Sc candidate), and Norman Meyer (M.A.Sc. ’01, now with Transport  Canada)

Martha Christenson with co-authors Rieko Shinomiya and Deniz Karman made a presentation on PHEV Laboratory Test Results: Energy Consumption and Emissions in Cold Climate. Tabitha Takeda made a presentation entitled An Overview of Current Electric Drive R&D Activities in Canada on behalf of the Government of Canada interdepartmental working group. Missing from the picture: Norman Meyer who was busy compiling the results of the only official world cup rally for the Alternative Vehicle Energy rally which ended at PHEV’09
