Professor Hakami awarded funding
Dr. Hakami was recently awarded a two-year funding from the American Petroleum Institute for developing mathematical tools and models for air pollution decision support. The award, valued at $180,000 US, is for work on extensions to USEPA’s community multiscale air quality (CMAQ) model. The second phase of the project, valued at $80,000 US is expected to follow first phase and would help apply developed tools to real world problems. The project is a collaboration between Carleton (the lead institution), Georgia Tech, and University of Colorado.
