Professor Zalok wins 2010 Achievement Award
Professor Ehab Zalok, assistant professor, has won one of five Teaching Achievement Awards based on demonstrated excellence in teaching and on the quality of the teaching development projects proposed. His proposal was 3-D visualization of frames and machines in action.
Dr. Zalok plans to build professional 3-D models involving complex concepts depicting real-life applications in action. This will help students to visualize the problem and understand how to extract an idealized diagram from the real-life application. Through the use of these props and clips, complex theory is applied in a simplified way. These prototypes will depict realistic situations encountered in engineering practice.
