Carleton students win the 2012 CITE Student Competition

The Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineers (CITE ) held their annual student competition at Carleton University in March 2012. Nine teams from Carleton and the University of Waterloo participated. The students had backgrounds in both transportation engineering and environmental engineering.

All from Carleton University, the winners of this year’s presentation are below:

1st:   Alex Seeley, Samrith Heng, Nauman Qaimkhani & YingKai Li
Presentation Topic: Re-Design of O-Train LRT System

2nd:  Maksim Apelfeld, Alessandro Argentina & Jeff Meek
Presentation Topic: Ottawa Greyhound Terminal Relocation

3rd:   Andrew Schagen 
Presentation Topic: A Feasibility Study for the Implementation of a Commuter Rail System in the National Capital Region

The winning group will select one member to deliver their presentation at the CITE Annual Conference in Winnipeg, receiving free registration to the conference and reimbursement of their travel expenses, up to a maximum of $1,000.
