AC&SE students contribute to the protection of Guadalajara’s heritage

Carleton’s Architecture Conservation and Sustainability Engineering students jointly with students of the Universidad de Guadalajara (Mexico) a group of Bachelors students from both Architecture and Engineering are currently documenting the “Casa Cristo” in Guadalajara (Mexico).  This is one of the most important national landmarks of the renown architect Luis Barragan.  This activity is conducted on the framework of an International Workshop on Heritage Documentation organized by Carleton University School of Architecture and Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering with the Centro universitario de arte, arquitectura y diseño, división de diseño y proyectos of the Universidad de Guadalajara. The workshop is coordinated by Professors Mario Santana, Carleton University and Ramon Reyes, Universidad de Guadalajara (Mexico). The documentation resulting from this work will be used for the safeguard of this important monument.  The workshop is taking place from Feb 15 to Feb 27, 2015 in Guadalajara.
