Ormeci co-chaired WEF/IWA Residuals and Biosolids conference in Washington, DC

Prof. Banu Ormeci was one of the conference chairs for the WEF/IWA Residuals and Biosolids Conference that was held in Washington, DC on June 7-10, 2015.  This was the first time IWA (International Water Association) and WEF (Water Environment Federation) organized a conference together, which was the largest international biosolids conference of the year. In addition to a stellar technical program, several workshops and technical tours were offered to the attendees. Prof. Ormeci’s research group presented their work on the in-line and real-time detection and optimization of polymer dose at wastewater treatment plants, which is in the early phases of commercialization.
