PhD researcher works on earthquake damaged sites in Myanmar

Davide Mezzino, Mario Santana’s PhD researcher, is currently in the Bagan Archaeological Site in Myanmar helping with the documentation of damaged monuments affected by the earthquake of August 24, which affected over 400 temples and stupas of this important heritage place. He is being supported by the Cyark Foundation in coordination with UNESCO and the Myanmar’s Department of Archaeology. His work is supervised by a team of international experts lead by Professor Mario Santana.
