Grad students showcase research at CONnexion

Graduate students Ahmed Hassan, Geoffrey Davidson and  Zhimeng Yu under the supervision of Professor David Lau, showcased their research projects at the CONnexion Industry and Education event that was held in November 2019.

The CONnexion event was hosted by The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) , the Ottawa Construction Association (OCA) along with Carleton University Career Services, and LRL Engineering on campus for local employer industry representatives from the construction industry, and students in engineering and related disciplines within the building engineering sciences.

The purpose of the event was to expose the construction industry to new innovations in construction through the research and innovation projects of academia and students, whilst connecting a next gen workforce with industry professionals; and provide students with insight into the future trends/outlook, innovation and talent requirements within the construction industry and network with employers
