Hobson wins best paper award in the eSim 2021 Conference

Big congratulations to Brodie Hobson for winning the Best Paper competition during the eSim 2021 Conference hosted by the University of British Columbia. Brodie is a current Ph.D. student supervised by Prof. Burak Gunay. His current research focus is on occupant and occupancy-centric smart building operations to improve energy efficiency and occupant comfort. He won the award for the paper he presented on “Occupancy-based predictive control of an outdoor air intake damper: A case study.” His paper can be accessed through the eSim Conference website.
