Shoeleh Shams Receives 2025 Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award

Congratulations to Professor Shoeleh Shams for receiving the Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award this year!

This award recognizes faculty and contract instructors dedicated to sustained excellence in teaching, scholarship of teaching and the continual development of teaching. 

Shoeleh Shams has demonstrated a passion for teaching, supporting student success and building relationships with our CEE students inside and outside the classroom.

Since she began her role at Carleton, she has effectively implemented engaging teaching strategies in her classroom. When Shoeleh is not teaching in the classroom, she is supporting students in a number of capacities, including her previous role as Associate Chair of Undergraduate Studies – Student Engagement and as a member of the Faculty of Engineering and Design’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
