Computing Facilities

Our computer facilities are excellent and are constantly being upgraded. Computer equipment within the Department comprises a Microsoft Windows-based environment for servers and Microsoft Windows-based PCs, Microsoft Windows Virtual Workstations as well as many individually held research workstations and servers in a variety of configurations. Connectivity is provided at Departmental and University Intranet and external Internet levels to provide wide access to tools, support, and research resources campus-wide and worldwide

Computer Lab Access

Computer labs access is available to all Civil & Environmental Engineering students, faculty and staff. Access is 24/7 except during scheduled class or lab sessions where access is restricted to students who are registered to the course, during maintenance or during University closures.

Computer Software

The software on the various computer systems includes up-to-date offerings in the fields of statistical analysis, mathematical and scientific computation, database management, word processing and Internet services. Specialized engineering software is also available for analysis and design purposes. There is some software that is offered through the University for registered students. Printing and Photocopy Services

For Printing and photocopying options, documents that are submitted for printing can be printed on any of the self-serve printers on campus via the CU on the Go print service.
