Research Interests
Mathematical model development and THMC (thermo-hydro-mechanical-chemical) numerical modelling; multi-phase flow systems for applications in deep geological disposal of radioactive waste; safety assessment system modelling for radioactive waste disposal.
Activities
Dr. Dagher is currently a senior technical specialist at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC). His areas of expertise lie in environmental protection and radioactive waste management. He is an active member of a number of national and international technical committees and working groups including, Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Group N288 series technical committee, the International Atomic Energy Agency working groups related to radioactive waste management, and the internationally recognized research collaboration DEvelopment of COupled models and their VALidation against EXperiments (DECOVALEX). In addition, Dr. Dagher manages CNSCs Strategic Research Agenda for the Geological Disposal of Radioactive Waste (DGR-SRA) program.
