Biography:

Dr. Hajiloo joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carleton University in July 2019. Prior to this, Dr. Hajiloo worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Queen’s University continuing his research on the performance of sustainable and durable construction materials at high temperatures. He also was the program coordinator for NSERC CREATE SERA (Sustainable Engineering in Remote Area). He received his PhD degree in Structural Engineering from the Queen’s University in 2017 where he studied how FRP reinforced concrete structures perform in fire. Dr. Hajiloo’s research on fire performance of FRP reinforced concrete structures has generated the knowledge to move towards rational fire safety design of FRP reinforced concrete structures.
