Jodi Johnson

Jodi Johnson, M.Eng., P.Eng., ROH is a Professional Engineer (Ontario) and a Registered Occupational Hygienist with the Canadian Board of Registered Occupational Hygienists. With over 17 years in the industry Jodi has extensive experience as both a Program Manager, Safety Consultant, Engineer, and Occupational Hygienist. She has an in-depth knowledge of safety protocols, policy development, programming, training and performance monitoring.

As Acting Program Manager for the City of Ottawa’s Safety Unit for the past 3 years she is responsible for anticipating, designing, developing, delivering, monitoring, evaluating and promoting a comprehensive safety program for the City of Ottawa. She also functions as an expert resource to management, staff and unions in all matters related to work place safety. She is currently responsible for leading the development and implementation of the City of Ottawa’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System including policy, program, training, performance monitoring and reporting.

Jodi joined the City of Ottawa’s Safety Unit as a Safety Consultant in 2008. Prior to joining the City’s Safety Team, she spent over 10 years with Environmental Consulting Firms performing engineering and testing. Jodi has extensive experience in conducting industrial hygiene assessments including; indoor air quality monitoring, mold and noise assessments and designated substance surveys.
