Activities & Research Interests

Mario Martinelli is a senior engineer in the Geo-Unit at Deltares. With over 15 years of experience, he specializes in the fields of off-shore wind, geotechnical earthquake engineering, soil-structure interaction, landslide hazard and risk assessment. His work primarily involves developing numerical methods for large-deformation analyses and gaining insights into the impacts of natural geo-hazards such as landslides and earthquakes on critical infrastructures. He also holds the position of manager for the Natural Hazard research program and serves as the secretary of the Anura3D MPM Research Community (www.anura3d.com).
